I'm looking to buy a 60 inch rotary brush cutter to cut at least 3 acres of high grass and small saplings on a hilly property. What would be the best brand to get?
I've looked at Woods, Bush Hog, and Land Pride. The Woods and Bush Hog are pricy. I'm wondering if it is worth the extra money. I'm looking at the models with the slip clutch and Woods and Bush Hog have it. Woods is $1,650 and Bush Hog is $1,550.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
Small saplings? How small?
Three acres is not much of a mowing job.
Get yourself a 4-ft King Kutter brush hog from Tractor Supply for $800. You don't need the high price spread for your job. I mowed 10 acres with a 4-ft hog and a 21 hp (engine) Kubota B7510HST with no problems. Took about 11 hours the first time and 5-7 hours after that. With only 3 acres, you should be able to do the first cutting in 4-5 hours and then 1-2 hours after that.
