rotary cutter, best overall value?

Current pricing on the quotes I have already received:

Brushmaster SL501 $4645
Davco 504 $9100

If I am using a rotary cutter for property maintenance (creeks, trails and around ponds) and I have a mulching head for the bigger stuff, would the performance be as noticable as the price between these two cutters? I know the major difference between the two is that Davco has the large flywheel and the short cutters, vs the bush hog type blades on the Brushmaster.

Thoughts?

Basically, the Davco is more than double the cost of the Brushmaster. Since I will be a recreational user at best, what would be the biggest difference (other than the cost) between the two?

That would have been an awesome deal, but the TL230 I'm getting only has 18GPM and the minimum required for the 604 is 22GPM. Thanks for the heads up though :thumbsup:

Hey gauthier, the rotary cutter I need is hyrdraulic driven for the skid loader...not shaft driven as usually found on tractors.

Look at BRUSHMONSTER.com - Universal Rotary Cutter For Skid Steer Loaders . Last time I looked a 6' unit was $4295.00 . NEW! Looked pretty heavy duty and there was a video as well. Also You Tube for video of same. They claim that low flow of 18gpm will run their cutter. Gadsden may also be closer to you than Canada. Hi flow version is also supposedly available.

FECON FRM70 - What are they comparable to with regards to the Davco and what kind of $$ used in good shape.....any idea. A new Davco BC705HS here is 13.5k +/-.
