Rotary Cutter / Bush Hog Considerations for Compact Tractors

/ Rotary Cutter / Bush Hog Considerations for Compact Tractors #81
I don't know about all of this. I cut field grass and my brush( Buck brush - 1/4" by 2' tall ) with my JD 750 riding mower. I'm careful - so far haven't smoked any belts.

I would like to quit this before I damage the 750, at least, for the Buck brush. With my M6040 - I've considered a Rhino TW35. Not as wide as my 80" rear tires but should do well backing into an brush growths.

This is considered a fairly heavy duty rotary cutter - I guess. I'm just really tired of buying stuff and having it not do what the mfg says it will.

That's why my grapple and rear blade are such heavy duty implements.

I'm somewhat fortunate - Buck brush is the ONLY brush here on the 80. Otherwise - it's field grass/bunch grass.

Most of my acre and a half of "lawn" is field grass that has been mowed for 35+ years. It slowly fills in and will, eventually, look pretty good. Keeps the dust from blowing around and the deer are happy.
