No apology necessary, I enjoy the discussion. Having said that, I brought the Land Pride home today. Tom graciously donated a 2x6 to help the mower fit in the back of my truck. He then loaded it in with his new L 3700 w/forks--a cinch. He then gave me the jerky 3 point demonstration--not a cinch. This is the first I've seen of one of these and it is a real problem, even at dead idle. Speed it up to working rpm's and you've got major league jumping.
I've had Woods implements, never had a Land Pride. It's a very ruggedly built mower indeed. Hasn't seen a lot of use, but needs blade sharpening and of course a good greasing (the blades themselves are VERY stout). It appears to have been kept outside--those days are over. I unloaded it with my Ford 641 with 3pt boom and chain, no problem. Hooked it up to the BX and it lifted it over a foot off the ground (the lift arms attach to the inside). Tom told me the front end might be light, but not so with the blower attached.

After the snow is gone I'll get to try it out in earnest. I'm pleased with it.
