Rotary Cutter Rotary Cutter for Deere 445?

I'm thinking ahead to the warm summer months, and would like to know if anyone has any experience with a rotary cutter for a JD 445 garden tractor.

The 3PH is a Cat 0 with a max rating of 350lbs. Has anyone had any luck with the small Woods (RCC42)? or any others?

With a 3pt capacity of only 350lbs, you may be challenged to lift even the Woods 42. How about a pull behind brush mower instead of a 3pt model?

Welcome to the forum. Plan on putting heavy tires on the 445 that will resist punctures, as they come with pretty thin skins. I would doubt they would last long, and the clearance is pretty small for getting around in brush. Just my take.

Thanks Guys - I think you're probably right that the pull behind is the way to go. The 445 has plenty of power, but a real short wheelbase and is pretty light at about 900 lbs.

I've looked at websites for the pull behind mowers and have a question - does anyone make a PTO driven pull behind? I really don't want another small engine to maintain.
