i can attest that their HD equipment is tough stuff. On my HD120 the 3pt a frame is 1/2 inch steel.. deck is solid .. doesn't bow when i walk on it.

I ran a Chinese import 48" for three years before the gearbox sheared off at the ends of the little screws that hold the bottom on. It has a 5 year warranty, but that doesn't mean much when the dealer can't get a replacement out of the company. With 15,000 seedlings to trim around I'm at the point of buying a new Rhino or Bush Hog 48".

The Rhino 60" I bought in the same month as the off-brand 48" produces a much better cut. The Chinese one's cut was steadily deteriorating as things got floppy underneath. When I ordered replacement blades (1" drop), one came with a 2" drop and the other with a 3" drop, neatly taped together. This did not speak well of the importer's competence.

So if you have a lot of work to do with the 48" rotary mower, buy a brand name unit.

I've had a Rhino GK 72" finish mower for 12 years. Never had any problems and the mower is still in good condition.
