Whatever you get, get a chain guard on the rear of the rotary cutter. The cheaper metal bands they use in place of the chains will bend when you back into a hidden stump and impact the spinning blades. Ask me how I know...

I have both a BB 72X and a BB720x. Most definitely the 720 is far superior. It’s much more robust. In particular, the bolt on replaceable side skids are much better than the welded skids on the lighter duty cutter. And the blades are thicker and wider (cheaper also since they are shorter) and the stump jumper is much stronger and round, not oval. And the gearbox is also much stronger. I just worker on both of mine last night and the 720 is way better. The BB 72 just isn’t that heavy duty. I have had to repair it many times. Trashed the sides, the skids and the stump jumper. The sides are thinner and I beat it up pretty good. As far as the other brands, I don’t know anything about them.

it was a bit bigger than expected. two trailers - the one or a 6x12 cargo trailer. no clue how to get this in/out of the cargo trailer...

Also used this to get a set of disks and a meyer snow plow.

Met a guy that wants to swap for a 4x8 utility flatbed.

I went to get a 10x20 foot horse run-in shed on a 16 foot flat bed dump truck and was thankful to find a 4x6 inch 10 foot timber to support the open end. I made it home (a 150 mile round trip) but never plan to haul a load like that ever again. The kids were about 14 and it was for the daughter so it was a good experience for the family. It was easy to get off because of the dump but it still scares me what could have went wrong. Loading was not bad because the guy had a skid steer with forks. It stayed on the truck for a few weeks while I built a dirt pad to set it on and the kids gave it two coats of paint inside and out. The last one we bought new and had it delivered on a portable building type trailer but still had to use the backhoe to do the final positioning.
