Rotary mower hydraulic pump

Hello. My friend would like to put his 72 " three point hitch rotary mower on the front of his New Holland 175 skid steer. He said a 40hp tractor did handle the mower ok. The skid steer has an output of 17 gpm. What type and size hydraulic pump should he use. We thought about putting a sprocket on the gear box in place of the pto and chain drive it from the hyd pump. Where can we get a pump and what size. What size gear on the pump and what size on the gear box. Or is there a better way to go. Thanks Lynn

He already has a pump. He needs a motor.

Rick B was right I have a pump but need a motor. Skid steer link was great but any ideas on just a motor. Thanks Lynn

OK, now I am confused, that happens occasionally. I even looked at the link I posted, thinking it may be the wrong link.
Those drives are motors, Skid Steer assumes you have a pump, (that is why you would be looking at 540 hydraulic PTO drives).
They even give you the cubic inch displacement of the motors and what horse power they will deliver at full flow GPM and pressure...
Their 7.67 cubic inch MOTOR will deliver 27 horse power with 22 GPM @ 3000 PSI.
Their 4.91 Cubic Inch motor will provide 21 HP with 17 GPM @ 3000 PSI.

Unless you are getting a different page then I get at that link, it shows what pump size for your HP needs and they have completed SS attachment products with no mention of including a pump. KennyV.
