Rotary tiller on TC45

Went to buy Tiller ended up trading in the TC 45 and buying a new 4060 with supersuit cab and the tiller. I should never go looking at tractors on sunny spring days

. . .and they say the economy is bad.;)

Congratulations! You will post pictures, won't you?:) I'd bet that your dealer would love to have a whole bus-load of customers like you.:D

Is your name Troy?

My neighbor went to have his Harley serviced and came home with a new one. I guess that's one way to change the oil.

Just spent the last few hours reading the R1 vs R4 tire discussions. The 4060 comes with R1 s which would be good in all the snow we get and mud in the woods and fields, but also have lotsa grass paddocks although I don't cut grass with the Boomer just bushhog rough pastures. They 4.5 inches narrower than the R4s are " big difference".

Yes I will post pictures.!!

Congrats on the new tractor I have seen previous post were you asking questions about the size of the tractor I kind of figured you were heading in that direction. My 2420 is almost one year old I can tell you I have no regret of getting rid of the 40 for the extra power and lifting ability of the new tractor not to mention the cab :). A few little problems but it's more related to the companies handling situations that arose during the year not the tractor for the most part almost 280 hours no mechanical problems at all. As far as the tires go I was in the same dilemma the dealer had two tractors with R1 OR R4 ALSO I HAD TO DECIDE SSS or EHSS I went with the SSS I really don't do that much loader work and clutching really doesn't bother me I feel like I have more control over the tractor. The R1 front tires are what really turned me off they were just too narrow for my wetland. The R4 have been excellent in all conditions snow and mud no regrets even pulling the cultivator 12 footer or hay wagons just get them filled it helps a lot. Also do yourself a favor if you are getting the loader make sure you have some kind of ballast box you're going to need it the hydraulics are very strong you will find the back of the tractor up in the air more than you want, to tell you the truth sometimes I can't believe what it's doing considering it's really not that much bigger of a loader than what the Tc 40 had. I have a few posts where you can see the tractor, I almost forgot if you go with the SSS make sure the dealer checks the cab mounts have been changed out to the new harder version I'm sure they will be but just in case make sure you ask it affects the way you clutch. remember the ballast box I have loaded tires +1400 pound ballast box and I'm still flipping.

Thanks for the input , the tire thing is a major decision with me as we get so much snow which I am sure you get in NY.I have to check on the ballast box although most of the time its just manure I am moving.I have lots of experience tipping in an old " Bobcat" we had, unloading 5 foot hayrounds from 2 rows up on a tall hay wagon." Kept the olde heart pumping".
