a wile back i posted about breaking my drive shaft for my mower, and i just found out i didn't onlt break my shaft i broke the gear box, i have seen some replacement boxes online but i don't know how to size mine, is there any trick to picking the right box?

First of all, what broke on your gearbox? And what brand/model cutter is it?

As to sizing, alot depends on your fab skills. If you need a direct bolt on, be prepared to spend some serious money.

If you have some fab skills, and can modify the mount, and possibly the stump jumper with a new bushing to match the output shaft of a new gearbox, I know I have seen some chinese gearboxes with ~40-60HP ratings in the $100-$150 range.
