Here is a picture of my 5030 Kubota and my friends Massey. Yesterday we ran a field of wheat straw. 68 acres to be exact. We are both running the same bailers, NH 630 series.
5030,
Cabella's store how lucky..Guns, Guns, Guns and fishing stuff too. Come on over an wet a line in my bass pond. By the way wheat straw in square bales sells for $2.50-4 a bale down here so it all gets square baled.
Round baling wheat straw is a new one on me!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif We only square bale it here in upstate New York. We only use it for bedding, so round bales would be pretty awkward. What is this straw gonna be used for?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The wheat straw is for my neighbors feed lot operation. They use the rounds for bedding and they also feed the straw once the steers are at market weight and are waiting for transport to the slaughter house. Like horses, the steers will eat the barn if they have nothing in front of them!!
JD 8320 MFWD, JD 6415 MFWD, FEL, and cab, John Deere MFWD 4600, John Deere 4020, John Deere 4430, John Deere 455 mower, Deutz, and Gehl 4610 perkins skidsteer
pretty common to round bale straw here too. Used for bedding and seed beds.
