Yeah I'll agree that cards are the way. It's about all I use. Local places I write checks. Don't carry much cash. Bank is an hour drive each way and most money is direct deposit. Now when I travel I'll carry alittle cash. Because most places don't like "out of town" checks. Otherwise it's cards.

With the little 1200 tree Christmas Tree business it is about 85% plastic... with the rest divided between cash and checks...

Only problem we have had is a few bad checks and so far have not been able to make any good.

I was going to walk to the stationary store today, but i was tired so I drove. They ordered the labels for me, they won't be in until next week. Nico started bottling the quarter liter bottles and he got a few half liter tins filled. Nico called again to the tin supplier and they said they would deliver on Wed or Thurs. Saturday early we went to the wholesale store and bought 9 boxes for 31 Euros. These will be used for the 1 Liter tanks as we don't really have a box for those. Our custom made boxes are for our bottles, we don't have custom made boxes for our tins.

Tomorrow I will print up the UPC/Lot Number labels on the white vinyl labels I buy in USA and I will start applying the front and back labels on the ones Nico has filled. Next week when the labels come in for the Amazon Catalog Number I'll have to go back and rework these bottles and add that sticker on them. It is always nice to handle the containers just one time, put all the labels on at once, no deal this time though.

Many thanks for your feedback, yeah our oil is really good on vegetables. I have never had green beans that we don't use our olive oil. In the summer we blanch fresh green beans, when they are just barely cooked we pull them off the stove and drain, then run cold water into the pan to cool them down and stop the cooking. The pan is hot so you have to keep running the cold water for a while, then we make a simple salad of green beans with green onion and Mas Des Bories olive oil. Once in a while we will shake on a few drops of red vinegar on the salad but not always.

I can't seem to get Amazon to ship the Olive Oil wrapped in Bubble Wrap and in a box, they keep sending it out in a padded envelope. So I decided I would ship it already bubble wrapped, each tin or bottle I will bubble wrap here and put the Amazon Catalog sticker outside the bubble wrap and then they better put it in a box, I can't see how they would continue to use a padded envelope.

I decided that it would be nice to slip a thank you card with the tins & bottles of oil so when the customer opens the bubble wrap they get the card. I had on hand very light weight card stock which would hold up well, better than a piece of paper. A full sheet would be to big, especially for the 0.25L bottles, so I decide to print two cards on one sheet and cut them in half. I have a very nice Fiskars paper cutter.

Here I am cutting my thank you cards apart with the paper cutter

Nico has been busy downstairs with the bottling.
Each stainless steel storage tank has two faucets on them, one drains from the center of the concave bottom of the tank, and another one above that one. Any debris (skin little bits of the pitt) that made it through the cotton filter will fall to the bottom, we use the upper valve to draw off the oil which is pure clean. Nico simply runs it into a stainless steel pail (and so far we have 6 of them, not cheap I may add) and then he clamps the hose from the filling machine onto the pail.

Here he has the 0.25L Bottles and some 0.50L tins filled which are waiting for me to apply the labels. Now that i have my thank you cards made, tomorrow I will start labeling the bottles and bubble wrapping them. Next week when the labels come from the stationary store I'll go back and stick the Amazon Category label on the bubble wrap.

What about Gift Wrapped bottles/tins? I had shrink wrap bags custom made by the last shrink bag maker in the united States, it is all made in China now, he is located in either New Hampshire or Vermont. He ran small runs for me of 1,000 bags of each size and I needed 6 different sizes. I never would have found him for a kind shrink wrap distributor in Minnesota. he took pity on me and told me the story, he said no shrink wrap bags are made in USA any more, in fact he now imports them. But he said when he was breaking down his manufacturing he sold one machine to a guy in New Hampshire or maybe it was Vermont, and that is the only guy who makes shrink wrap bags in the USA now. We sell quite a few gift items on the farm, we pair a bottle of olive oil with a bottle of fig vinegar, put it in the shrink wrap bag, shrink it and then I add a real pretty ribbon on it that has our logo. I have all kinds of gift combinations I make, different size bottles of oil paired with different sized bottles of vinegar and a good seller for me is a bottle of our olive oil paired with 3 of our tapenades.

I thought I might like to send some inventory as gift wrapped as shown in this pic. The pic is taken where we give olive oil tastings, at the end of our work table. Nico is against it, he said people won't buy it gift wrapped, I would have to charge $1.50 more to cover my time
and materials. What do you think? Do you think I should or should not send some gift wrapped as shown? (it is the package on the left after the bottles with the ribbon) Do you think they would sell?

Seems like a good idea to me, and I'm inclined to think it would sell. However. . . . . , I also figure Nico knows a whole lot more than I do about such things.

Amazon delivered mine wrapped in Bubble Wrap only a small dent in the can. Haven't had time to enjoy any yet!
