AGCO recommends that you run the GC2410 at full RPMs during the 50 hour break-in period. My dealer says just run it normally. Any thoughts on whether and how to run the engine differently during break-in?

I had a GC2300 and ran it normally during break-in. I did make sure it was warmed up before I put a full load on it and I never lugged it down. Using the mower deck or the snow blower I would always run it at full throttle which isn't very high on these engines. I always moved the throttle smoothly up or down and never moved it like an on/off lever like some folks do.

I always run everything as I normally would, maybe a little less hard (no failures to date). I have 12 hrs on my 2610 and run it basically now like I always will. Want to try out everything really good before the warranty runs out:thumbsup:!

I only have 100 hours on my 2310, but don't remember doing anything special during break-in. About the only time I run it full throttle is with the snow blower or chipper. Other than that, I tend to run it < 2,000 RPM when using the FEL or BH.
My gut sense is that if your dealer is a good one, their advice is sound and brings with it more credibility than folks like me.
