Going to mandate 100% "braless" for my RTV 1140 as well as passengers....sorry TexasJohn....although in a few years if you offer a "push up" version, I might just be interested.....

Ah, the interest is growing...and I haven't even heard from the newbies who should be interested in training bras.:applause:

thanks for the responses, that helps alot.....so it appears, if done carefully, one can apply a bedliner and still go from the small to the larger bed.....its just such a perfect vehicle, I hated to do anything half ***.... no grandkids yet, John Thomas, mine are still 12, 14, and 16.....but living on a lake, I hoped to have something my wife and kids could use that I could also use....bed liner, right now, is the only sticking point.....

TLJ87, I'll reach out to that member to get an update on how he had his done and if he was satisfied with the ability to convert the bed. If possible, having a professional spray in a bed liner would be my first choice....anything I do tends to wide up looking, well, like a non professional did it.....let me know what you find out on yours...also curious, as yours is used, how does the bed look? Is it steel or is that diamond plate aluminum (that would remove any concerns I have with regard to rust)

I used the Rustoleum (I think) roll on liner from Advance on the 18" sides of the inside of my car trailer...Nice stuff, easy to apply. Been on there for 2 years and no signs of wear. My brother did his pickup bed with it and it still looks great after 4 years.

Industrial Toys, that's a good point...I'd always figured the spray in liner was nearly indestructible, but that's not likely the case........the guys at Messicks just sent me a graphic showing a plastic Kubota bed liner specifically made for the 1140 CPX ($331), part #V4451 that appears from the parts diagram to offer protection both as the short box and long box configurations.....any owners of the V4451 who would care to post some photos and lend us their thoughts? The directions do show multiple "self tapping" screws being necessary to install the liner, so that, in itself has me a bit worried I've already opened myself up to future headaches.....

I've had the OEM drop in liner in my RTV1100 since 2010. No problems whatsoever...Protects against denting it up if you don't get carried away....My 1100 stays indoors, so rust really hasn't been an issue. I try to prevent scratching where possible...My BX23 was bought in 2004. Still looks like brand new. I use it hard but don't abuse it. A big difference...That's how I use my stuff.

Timswi: Like you, I went ahead and ordered the drop in / screw in Kubota OEM liner for it. Worst case after using it a while if I'm not satisfied and especially if I've figured out a little more tolerance specifics that allow for a LineX spray, then I'll worry about that then. I just hope the screws Kubota uses and the treatment of the "self tapping" holes prevents any rust from quickly forming.

No rust showing anywhere on mine beyond the underneath skid plate...Just salt created surface rust. A clean and strip pad and some rustoleum and that will be fixed in the spring.....

Not sure if you test drove one yet, but I'd recommend it and do it under a variety of conditions...An RTV isn't a sport machine by any definition. But for those of us that bought pure workers, they are difficult to beat for a variety of reasons. There are some who hate them (on this site) but those people don't use a UTV like RTV buyers. Just sayin.

I might buy a RZR for up at camp, but I can run at 40+MPH there. Just from the configuration it's in no way comparible to the RTV. I's mostly fun with a little utility thrown in.

Again, each of us has different needs, I don't need to throw rooster tails going up hill. I hust want to pull my trailer or logs or whatever. If it's only 15mph in M range, that's fine. Any faster would be an accident waiting to happen. I also do a ton of plowing with my RTV..I don't need to do more than 10mph doing that.

My RTV 900 came from the factory with the spray on bedliner. I haul gravel, dirt, firewood, you name it, still looks as good as the day I bought it.
