Just did my first self service oil and UDT fluid change and it was a piece of cake. My question for those that have done this next to the oil drain plug looking forward just to the right is another drain plug that I removed and nothing came out. Im not sure what it's for. Anyone have any ideas? As a update on mine I have 200 hrs zero problems except the original rattle...Its still there but only notice it at idle. Besides that when i changed the UDT fluid I picked up noticible speed and power climbing hills.

I'm not sure, I could only see the oil plug and transmission fluid plugs on mine. I looked in my service manual and couldn't see any additional plugs there either.

yes used the super UDT and it made a noticable difference in speed and power....the drain plug was the one just to the right of the oil drain,,,,there is a hole in the skid plate to access this drain.....nothing came out so maybe it was same kind of breather hole for what i haven't a clue. hey TIM nice to hear from ya....Im down here with all the oil....BP bought a bunch of 900's for the beach clean up.....there all over the place ,,,,,nice to have so much money...heard they spent almost 4 bill so far....

737,

Glad to hear that the 500 is getting better and better...After this much time the rattle is probably nothing more than an annoyance. If it was a mechanical issue, I would think you'd have found it by now.

Nice to see that BP is buying quasi American iron for the clean up...Is this affecting you in any way?

Don't own an RTV ...... but my Kubota B2910HST has a plug/drainhole for the clutch housing to remove any moisture/condensation that may accumulate ....
