RTV 900 engine problem

I have a 2004 Kubota RTV 900. It has started making a hissing sound when you turn it off (sounds like air escaping from a tire for about 5 seconds). It ran fine for a while when making the noise at shutdown, but now starts and then chokes out after about 10-15 seconds. I'm thinking stuck exhaust valve, but wanted to get other opinions before tearing apart.

Have you checked the induction system for obstructions? I've never seen a burn exhaust valve cause a hissing noise like you described.
