Agreed.
Stirring knockback is worse with wide tires on the front also~!

i would like the same all the way around for the reason of rotating . but i like my wide rear tires for the traction they give . i guess you give up something to gain something.

Having the ability to rotate your tires is nice economically, and will save you a few bucks. But is not a need for most off-road vehicles.
Utv’s are for off-road and you need as much control as possible.
You need a tire that best fits the conditions you ride in. All tires are not suitable for all conditions.
I like a tire thats thin in the front.Makes it easier to maneuver over rocks and your rears don't track in the same rut in the mud~!

i agree my rear tires push me through alot but then some times my front drags me across somethings too.lol me i like a wide tire for a better flatter footprint in the mud.we don't have alot of rocks down here but we do have alot of mud and thats when the wide tire comes in handy . the thin tire seems to cut right into the mud like a razor blade rather than ride on top.if i could fit some 12" wide 589's in the front that would be great but then i couldn't turn them when they got mud clogged on them after iether unless i went with a highlifter kit. but thats another story.i'd like to go with some 10" wide in the front right now i have some 9" nd i can't switch till they wear out and man they look like they gonna last for ever.lol. hey skip put a load in your xuv and snap a picture for me if you can.

Agreed "specialty" vehicles (off road, performance driving, etc.) as I like to call them should have staggered tires to fit the conditions. I think a thin rear would make you lose to much grip and a wide front would be bad IMO. It's the same with a lot of cars that are more performance oriented, if you wanna play you gotta pay. In the end I don't think the benefits of rotating are good enough to warrent a tire that is the same size all around on one of our little babies.
