RTV tools for BX

This is my first post after getting lots of good information before and after purchasing my new BX24 last fall. I was surfing the Kubota website and found all the accessories for the RTV vehicles. All the tools run off the hydraulic system of the RTV unit. I wanted to know if anyone uses any of these tools on their BX. Does anyone know if they would even work, I would guess they would hook up directly to the outputs for the backhoe? Thanks everyone for the past and future information.

There are some pretty nifty tools.

I wouldn't mind having a post driver.
I am not sure they would be compatible with a bx hydraulic system.
They would have to be able to pass hydraulic fluid through them when they are off.

thats an interesting idea. I think the tools are in bypass when not in use, so you should be able to run them off the backhoe loop. The tractor should be capable of cooling the oil, so I'd guess it will probably work. You would defentialy want to keep an eye on how hot things are getting.

Never knew Kubota offered hydraulic tools.

I'm interested in the post driver and Hydraulic pruner if compatible with my Bx23...

I just read a hydraulic chainsaw was $2,400.00....... not sure its the same brand, but i suspect none of that equipment will be (what the average guy would consider) affordable.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from wanting one of each..........

Dragging hydraulic lines around with my chain saw sounds like a real PITA to me. I'm thinking the only advantage may be more power in a lighter package, but there are still those hydraulic lines. It would be no good for limbing out. The lines would always be tangled in branches.

I would think the hoses would be a nuisance to contend with.

After further thought and reading the comments made by many of you who have shared your insights and opinions, I agree that the hoses would be a nuisance.

I have seen the light. I'll stick to my trusty, well used, gas chainsaw.

I've said it before on here and I'll say it again, stay away from add-on tools with these closed loop Kubota hydraulic systerms. Use your PTO to drive an independent pump to supply auxillary equipment. If all you guys could see the comtamination issues I see in my business you'd understand where I'm coming from. No DIS intended. I'd like to have the opportunity to consult with the Service Engineers on w3.kubotalink forum with what I see going on in the field. Warranty would have a new meaning I tell you....

I got the following back from Kubota:

Good Afternoon,
If you have the correct coupler fittings, they should work, however, Kubota
does not reccommend the use of these tools on anything other than the
approved application. Using these tools on unapproved application, will
lead to the voiding of your kubota and stanley tools warranties. I hope
this information is useful. Thanks.
