RTV500 Throttle Adjustments

New from Kubota, they now want the engine rpm at 4000rpm to get a little more juice from this little one. Redline is at 5000rpm, so still well within limits.

I use my 500 in the mud. Not the best vehicle to do this. Can you tell me how to adjust the rpm for more power.

I'm not sure if this is in the same line, but I have what I think is a related problem. On our 09 RTV 500, it is difficult to get out of low range when it is in a bind, like when climbing a steep grade, and when I try to move it into reverse. This morning, I was in an incline what was too steep and tried to pull it out of low into neutral and by forcing the dash lever, it apparently altered the linkage cable adjustments which are connected to the throttle. Now, it the handle is not in sync with what gear it is in and I cannot reach reverse, it loads up but doesnt move. It's 104 outside now but I will look at the splendid writeup by stonehaller tomorrow and report. Any suggestions appreciated.

Not meaning to hijack this thread but I found that the bell crank controlling the selector behind the dash was severely bent. A couple of hours removing the crank from under the hood and welding some gussets, then going over the throttle linkage instructions and all appears to be in top shape. The throttle feels like it is a bit more responsive but time will tell. Thanks again to Stonehaller for providing the link.
