Glad to hear you got it out. No, don't give up on it yet. Since you last posted, I believe, we have the name of a reliable rebuilder for the Kioti IPs. It is more reasonable than a Kioti refurbished pump and way less $ than a new OEM pump. Do a search for the thread in this forum.

Thanks Coyote Machine. The mechanic who is pulling the injector pump has a local fella who rebuilds them. Said he has been using him for years and does reliable work. Hoover's Kioti in Mifflinburg is also available in case we run into any unusual problems.

Wow as a 06 Kioti 45se owner approaching 900 hours this one got my attention. Is there any way to check pump for possible failure or just run it till it breaks. In the event of run aweigh motor would shutting off fuel at fuel filter petcock be a serious option. Also in the event of run aweigh if you put your hands over air filter openings how bad would the outcome be. I don't carry a 2 by 4 on tractor and it would be hard to take time to remove air filter with screaming 5000 RPM motor.

Fuel and air being shut off would be only way to shut down a runaway engine if a hydrostat trans. You could fit something to the air cleaner nozzle, to plug it if the engine did runaway that you keep stored behind the seat in case.
It's few and far between that these motors lock the pump rack and run away, but it can and does very infrequently happen.
About the only thing one can do preventativly is to run the cleanest fuel, change the fuel filter frequently, and maybe use a lubricity additive.

Oleozz,sorry to hear about your pump.I have a question did you use any type of diesel fuel additives in your tractor?Just curious?
