running 3pt attachments without FEL

I always like these kinds of threads. It gives us some insight as to what can/should be used as counter weight to TPH attachments w/o Fel.

Each tractor should include this info. maybe a graph of some sort. Go right down the list, a RC you should have x amount of suit case weights on the front, a rototiller should have xxlbs and so on.

The Deere manuals do provide such information. However, this is based upon "implement codes" which, I assume, are Deere implements.
A little bit of research on the Deere site would get you the implement code and weight of a given implement (72" rotary cutter, for example) which corresponds to the front weight required (in the Deere tractor operators manual).
Obviously, Deere couldn't provide information for other manufacturers' implements since they have no control over them.

As far as other tractor manufacturers, I've no idea if they provide equivalent information, but it is worth a look in the operators manuals.

I used to work at a golf course, and there was a large aerator used on one of the 50 hp Kubota that they had added weight to make it penetrate. After the weight they needed 3 or 4 plates on the front so the front end didn't launch when the clutch was let out.

My Case 580CK TLB is so tail heavy even with the loader on that I can get the front wheels off the ground anytime I shuttle shift from reverse to forward if I'm not at a complete stop first.

I kind of figure if front wheels are off the ground, thats why we have spit breaks.

I use my JD 3520 without the FEL a lot of the time because it makes the tractor too long and gets caught in bushes and trees all the time. You can feel at once when the front is too light for proper steering and you need suitcase weights, then how many you need. The good thing is that removing the FEL frees the rail to receive the weights.
