With today's economy, any wood over 4" is MONEY to be made in firewood (as long as it's not pine). Also, be careful with any chipper as they are inherantly dangerous and unforgiving of mistakes in operation. I have used a small homeowner stand alone unit for about 30 years with a 3" capacity. And they do save a lot of work and I use the mulch it makes.
