Rural Execution

I feel for the investigators.

They will be held accountable for the outcome of the investigation.

There will be high expectation on the part of the larger community, and a lot of pressure but on the detectives involved to "get results".

Presuming it was a professional/contract hit (speculative as it is), there will likely be minimal physical evidence. Witness evidence will be patchy or non-existent, and victim accounts will be equally terrible as well.

That leaves not much to work with. There will be a considerable amount of 'background' that will have to be looked at in producing a motive, unless there are glaring pieces of evidence that have yet to be released to the public.

It'll be interesting to follow this matter...

Did you read post #8?

Looks like the killer and one of the surviving victims (Paul Shay) had some contact in the past.
Question now, had Mr. Shay been a victim in an insurance scam and testified against the killer...or had they been in cahoots?
Due to the youth of one of the dead, a 2 year old, it's quite likely there will be some news follow through on this story. Hopefully, someone will post any follow up.

Not sure how many "professionals" go to a friends house the next day, talk about what they did, and then have their friend give them up.
