Thanks for the replies, I Have to agree with the points you people made, I've used a pipe wrench on the TL as well on a late 70's white, but the paint never flaked off it just wore in. A unit that new surprised me of the rust. The bucket is almost completely covered in rust not any paint on it that i can see. I dont ever remember that on the farm, but i this tractor and loader were not used and were sitting outside alot. The only other complaints were the toggle switch on the side council was missing they replaced it, and the fuel gauge wasnt reading correct and the tapped on the dash and it started to work again so they took some shields off and checked the connections and it works now both issues. Some section of paint was rubbed off one of the tilt cylinders but other that that it seems top notch. They put a drawbar on it from a TC 35, and added winter additives cause it -5 F and its only getting colder for a while.

How many hours on the tractor? If it sat out side at the previous owners that might explain it. What's important it how it functions. How does it function?

It has 448hours on it but it sat at a dealership outside for a year as far as i know. Function i didnt try it out yet. Dont know the pervious owner

IMHO... long term setting is harder on a machine than moderate use.

Get on it an drive it around and check it for function. Use the loader to lift something. make sure the hydrauilc oil is not full of water. Sitting in the open without being used for long periods of time is hard on a tractor. Does the bucket look worn? Or is it just rusty. They generally show abrasion type wear from use, other wise the paint should provide some protection. How old is the machine? It has 448 hrs but what year is it?

The machine is a 2005, the bucket a had a one weld on it, more of a cosmetic weld. I think the person may have swapped the bucket out before he traded it off? Maybe not.
