Re: RV-6 WOW !

The size of your monitor does not matter -- what you have set up for your resolution is the key. If you have a 19" monitor, you should set your display to 1280x1024 at a minimum. Please don't tell me you are set up at 640x480!

That's what I was going to say. I have my 17" monitors all running at 1280x1024. I could go scrunchier, but my old eyeballs ain't what they used to be. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

If you go hi-res and millions of colors, you may need more VRAM (video memory).

When they flight tested the TC-29, it experienced mach tuck and a bad case of FEL buzz at high speeds. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Very nice job on the RV-6. She's a beaut.

That's OK, because when I tested an RV-6 bushhogging my back pasture, the air intake kept clogging, even though I was cutting at 6" height. It was a pretty fast cut though, if a bit on the "Nose down" side.

There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are very, very few old bold pilots. And they get scarcer every day.

Re: RV-6 WOW !

800x600...1280x1024 is a little on the small side.

Are you kiddin'? I tried that resolution to see what it looked like, and almost couldn't./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I've got mine on 800 x 600 so I can read it without straining.

Re: RV-6 WOW !

Average Monitor Viewing Resolution by Screen Size...

14" --- 640 x 480

15" --- 800 x 600

17" --- 1024 x 768

19" --- 1280 x 1024

My shop 17" monitor goes to 1600 x 1200 and it's somewhat "teeny weeny tiny print" for me.... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

so I bounce back and forth between 1024 <----> 1280...

Re: RV-6 WOW !

You can increase/decrease the size of the text within your browser.

I think it just seems very tiny after being used to the other size. Give it a try for a bit and when you go back to 800x600 or 640x480 you will think, "Gee, that looks horrible!".

Great feature for users -- yet another headache for web developers. Any of you other web geeks ever see your carefully crafted pages after somebody has overridden the fonts, sizes and colors? It's hard enough to make them look right on all browsers and platforms, let alone anticipate all of the above combinations. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

TBN, of course, looks great even on an Etch-A-Sketch. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
