I'm looking to add a rear remote (or two) for more control of a batwing mower. Anyone have any experience with how difficult that process is? I'm guessing it must be pretty simple. I looked for threads and found a very old one that talked about some kits coming with the wrong parts.

On a related note, does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy the kits and Kioti parts in general? Our local dealer is OK, but seems rather clueless about Kioti in general. A much better dealer is about 1.5hrs away and just not that handy.

The kits should be available from your Kioti dealer. My NX4510 was a simple bolt on for the valve and installation of the lever. Eventually I will be adding one more which is also a simple bolt in.

Cool, thanks. I was hoping maybe there was an online source for the kits.

Cool, thanks. I was hoping maybe there was an online source for the kits.

There may be but the Kioti one that I bought was around $300 and was a direct bolt on with no modifications and the lever setup is also a perfect fit. I believe that the cab models can have 3 setups. My NX4510 shows 3 valves under the back panel on a decal but there are only 2 slots for levers on a non-cab tractor.

@arkanoid- I ordered mine with 2 and I have one more slot. Looks like installation on the rear would be pretty simple- relieve pressure in the system, unbolt cap on valve stack, bolt in new ports, replace cap, and run the cable for the lever. But that's based on looking at it, not actually doing it. It does seem like a do-it-yourself job if you can find the parts. I have yet to need any parts but from what I've seen online, Kioti makes it difficult to find them anywhere but the dealer. Perhaps a higher volume dealer would be willing to ship you the parts?

Please keep us posted. I'm mostly interested in know where you source the parts. Best of luck.

Great. That sounds painless. :) I was afraid the kits would be considerably higher than that too.

My open-station RX7320 has 2 slots as well. A 3rd would be cool, but really not worth the $ to me, just to be able to raise the 2 sides of the mower independently.

I added a second rear remote to my DK45s. It looks like a much easier job on your RX. On yours. the female quick couplers attach directly to the remote hydraulic valve and the valves seem quite accessible. MIE shows a kit (under parts, hydraulics) but no price (call for price). In addition to the obvious parts (valves, couplers, O-rings, cable) you will need bolts or studs of the proper length for the number of valves you plan to have.

This may help.

Yeah, *seems* like it shouldn't be too bad. I've noticed Kioti parts are rarely found online. Our local dealer really isn't that fun to deal with. They also sell New Holland and that is clearly their real interest. Had I known before buying, that may have swayed my decision!

I'll let you know what I find out. I'll try making a couple calls this week.

I got mine through this place. <snip>

Thanks for the link, JimR. Maybe I'll try them as well. 5 minutes sounds great. The last part I ordered from the local dealer kept me at the counter for over an hour while they tried to find the right file for the parts diagram. They clearly aren't that familiar with the equipment. They don't even stock the oil filters!

I got mine through this place. I'm sure any large Kioti dealer can help you out. It took them all of 5 minutes to find the part that I needed for my tractor. They shipped it to me once it came in. The installation was just as mentioned above. The kit came with the longer bolts. Here is where I got mine through. Swiderski Equipment Inc. - 5 Locations Across Wisconsin - Offering New & Used Agricultural Equipment and More

OK, so far, I'm impressed. After seeing your link for Swiderski Equipment, I filled out a parts request on their website. I had an email back requesting more information before I finished my coffee. Scott in parts from the Waupaca store called a little later with a price. It is $290.85 for the kit for my RX7320. Kit number RXA105. It is on order and should be here within a couple weeks.

Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful. I asked Scott some questions about the kit and he happily tracked down the information. I'm hopeful that they may be my new go-to for Kioti parts.

@JimR, @arkanoid- thanks for the links and feedback regarding where to get parts online. Thankfully I haven't needed any parts yet but when I do it's nice to know there are some folks setup to handled on-line orders.

My kit arrived yesterday. That was quite a bit faster than I expected. It was drop-shipped from Kioti. The kit looks great -- complete as far as I can tell. Shipping was pretty darn high IMHO -- $60. I asked for a shipping quote but he wasn't sure what it would be. The box wasn't particularly big or heavy, so it does seem extreme to me. With the $19.30 of tax and the shipping, that brought the price up to $370.15. I'm still happy with their service.

Now, hopefully I can squeeze in some time after work next week to get it installed.

That was fast! Glad to hear this seems to be working out and that there's an on-line parts source. Good luck with the actual install. Be sure to post back to let us know how it goes.

I bought my tractor from then and drove out to pick it up from Ma. They were the best place that I had found to deal with and saved me a ton of money. I have also ordered some parts through them and my rear remote kit. From what I have heard, all Kioti dealers add another $15.00 charge for drop shipping from Kioti, why, I haven't a clue. If you order locally thru your dealer with their regular orders that charge is not added.

You will find that the install is a breeze. I wish that Kioti had a better web page for looking up parts. We could then look up the parts ourselves and buy them locally through the smaller dealers. Swiderski has 4 dealerships in WI. and that is probably why they can find whatever you are looking for much easier than a small dealership.
