I started a part time business a few years back and sold tons of dewalt tools kits to builders, contractors, etc I tried not to deal with the general public becuase contractors well are easier to deal with....
I did lots of on site demeonstrations at job sites for construction personel many loved to see the tool guy show up with something new. The ones that could & would buy dewalt and milwaukee.Ive seen pro contractors using walmart black and deckers to Ryobi. They claimed with cheaper tools they did not worry about theft as much. The ones who bought dewalt usually understood you get what you pay for.I dealt Mostly in 18 volt and some 14-12 volts for finish work.
On the ryobi a few years ago I would stay away becuase quality control was down. Well I used a craftsman/ryobi and was quite impressed. Now this was just a few screws driven but not bad i thought. But long term who knows? I know I would not warranty a ryobi sold to a contractor but would not hesitate to warranty a dewalt to a pro who used the tool everyday.
Back to dewalt again,
You will pay for dewalt like milwakee. And if I did not sell them and purchase them for myself at cost I would not own a Dewalt set. Since
The dewalt reciprocating saw is the most valuable tool in the 4kit set when used on the farm. Cut metal, wood, etc without a hickup.
I had good luck with lennox blades for metal cutting. The circular saw is Ok, its not a 110volt saw but it will do, make sure the batteries are charged if you plan on usig it alot.
Batteries use to be exspensive for dewalts but I think now they run $100 for 2 18volts batteries which is alot cheaper than what they were before at $100 a piece.
