Rzt 42 worth it or not???

So unfortunately my wifes grandfather passed away last week and he owned a 2006 cub cadet rzt 42 inch mower. I really dont know anything about these types of mowers. Wifes aunt was the recipient of it but her yard is literallye 20 x 40 and has no use for it. SHe wants a small rider to do what she has and will exchange the rider for the rzt. Is this worth trying to work out and get. I can get the aunt a new rider for probably 1 K or less. This is a 2006 model and I am not sure of the condition. We wanted to buy a rider next year as our yard is currently being cut with a push mower and is around 3/4 acre of lawn. Thanks for the help....

I'd borrow it and try it out. That way you will know for sure.

I test drove one at a dealer before getting the 2554 and wasn't impressed with it's forward speed at all. But that is just me.

But that was in comparison to the 1872 I had which is very fast. Much faster than the 2554 which is 'fast' for current tractors. If you have a lot of turning to do it might be nice to have. Personally I just like a regular tractor.
