It is clear that the average American is much farther removed from the food supply than a generation or two. People here seem to understand that the goods coming from China are not of the same quality as what you use to be able to buy in the US, but I don't see the same concern for the food. When someone talks about the price of eggs and milk, I never hear them talk about the quality of it. The food item at the grocery store today is often far from that item 30-50 years ago.
I'm slowly educating my grandfather in his 90s. He was/is a farmer and had no clue on what is done to food. How many people thick of the cheap syrup products in the store as maple syrup? How many people believe when they buy "pure honey" from the grocery store, they are getting something that comes solely from bees in nature? Yes, this bill is just for big agriculture.
