He swore he was going to send me a cashiers check and I said it wasn’t necessary to go to THAT extreme (a regular check is fine if he did anything).

Richard the local morning program was talking about people asking for money from stranger's. Most of the caller's that gave money with promise that it would be returned have never seen a dime. I remembered readin your post a while back so I made a mental note to try and find this post to ask you if you have heard from the folk's you gave money to?
