How much difference does the rear counterweight option make on a skidsteer?
 
How much difference does the rear counterweight option make on a skidsteer?

Most likely it will make a huge difference.

Most all skids will break out more than they will hold without tipping. Plus it will be more stable working in a down hill position.
 
From the S650 O&M Manual:

Rated Operating Capacity (ROC) - 2690 lb.
ROC with 200 lb counterweight kit - 2840 lb.
ROC with 300 lb counterweight kit - 2890 lb.

Tipping Load - 5380 lb.
Operating Weight - 8327 lb.
Breakout (lift) - 4800 lb.
Breakout (tilt) - 5100 lb.
Push Force - 4600 lb.
