I am new to this site and would like to ask for some help. I recently had to take the kohler engine in my Sabre 2354 apart to replace the module that provides the spark to the spark plug. If you know about this model tractor you know that it takes a lot to get the engine cover off so that one can access the module. Well now i have a few questions as i have mounted the new module... what is the proper distance that the module needs to be from the fly wheel? the guy at the JD dealership said about the thickness of a book of matches... (really technical huh).
The next question i have is one i am a little ashamed of... when taking the engine cover off i removed a wire that is labeled "jumper" in the JD parts manual and i can for the life of me figure out where it connects back to... the parts manual link is:
John Deere - Parts Catalog
it is part number 25 labeled Jumper... please someone tell me where to attache this to...
thanks for any assistance you may have...
