Sad story

The "baser" side of me wants to kill these people. Sickening behavior and simply offensive at the most basic emotional level.

But, after a few hot headed moments, I'm just sad for the kids that get treated badly. Let the abusers rot in h e double hockey sticks, but God help the kids.

THey already had one child taken. THe local paper said that the oys aunt had come over to check on the kid and the mother balked told her that a certain nurse would be the only one to see him. SHe forced her way in and saw what happened to the boy and called the law. I know about 14 years ago under a different sheriff they had a work detail down by the landfill we run and they had a child abuser like the one there now. He was "shot escaping" as the paper said. I think this couple should go out on trash pick up.

One of the ambulance drivers I know that was at the Hospital when he came in told me hed never seen anything like it. He was burn over 90 percent of his tiny body. THe parents of the abusers are trying to get some big shot lawyers in. They were trying to tell what good kids they had been and society just made them stray off the path. The mother told some of the deputies that she couldnt stop the boyfriend so she let it slide. I think they both did it. I also think that they should have to go throug hthe same thing they did to the baby. Prison sounds fine with the food and tv and health care but the loving is the killer lol

Had similar story in the DC area a month or so ago, some drugged up guy killed a young child, had done something similar before and had served some time. And now the govt drug czar is talking about decriminalizing illegal drugs. unbelievable.

There is something in this world where people like this are allowed to have child after child after child. They get a child taken away from them and they end of having another, happens a lot.

I don't see anything wrong requiring people to take an exam (and a hefty deposit of course) before being allowed to reproduce, if they fail, they get sterilized.

Funny enough, most people disagree with me, but complain about the consequences like this. Poor children.

I was surprised to find out that some decades ago, North Carolina had a sterilization program in place. Actually, it was kind of scary.

I would find it hard to believe that anyone in NC hasn't heard of the recent Zahra Baker case (and I thought that made national headlines)

I can't help but think when the dust settles on this case, some in the social services department will have a lot of questions to answer.

The sad fact is that people who should not have children do.

If you haven't heard of the program before, do a search on "Guardian Ad Litem" program in your state. I can't help but think that North Carolina is not that much different from all the other states, and chances are your local program desperately needs volunteers.

Here in my town we had a sad story this week. 2 people I went to school with were caught abusing a 3 year old child. The child had a fractured sskull and had been scalded, and was found unconscious. We dont have an online version of our town paper but the regional paper has an online rough story of it. Two people charged in child abuse case - WTVA.com

The local paper went into better details. THe mother was arrested right then. He had been unconscious for uite a while. Her live in boyfriend also a classmate was arrested later. When he got to the jail he was a little roughed up. Later he was asthe paper put it injured by other inmates after there TV and smoke priveleges were revoked from them because He smuggled cigarettes in. A friend of mine that was in at the time for public intoxication told me that The other inmates showed him what how bad it felt. Thats why the cigarettes werte picked up. He said he had a welcome party or child abusers and it happened all night. I cant think of how a person could do this to a kid one time she even told their social worker that they didnt want the child but liked the monthy check. ITs just pathetic.

Sad the way people do some things...
