that's why i posted my location.. we have seen large regional price differences sometimes... generally as you go north.. so does the money!

65-205 is a 5g pail of 90wgl1.. and is about 35$ here in florida
65-201 is the 2g pail of the same.. and preiced by volume simialr to the 5g pail.

walmart sells an 80w90 gl5 as well as 85/140 oil that claims to be yellow metal safe

penzoil and castrol both sell a yellow metal safe 80w90 or 75 w 90 gear oil.

walmart 5g oils are about 48$ here in florida.

As for the $100 + for 90wt MINERAL oil, Valvoline does offer part number 70044; which is a 90wt oil, and the only one that has the word "mineral" as the largest word on the label. Most folks consider any oil pumped out of the soil/rocks to be a mineral oil, but of all the buckets you will see, this is the only one that says mineral in plain sight. So that is probably why the store quoted that particular item. Locally it sells for 91.99, it still ships out in a steel bucket. It's specs look lower than all the tractor hydraulic fluids that sells for much less. The local school system uses it for something, as they are about the only purchaser.
