Another thing you could point out, is that the trailer weight itself is not too much for the truck, but that the tongue weight is. Those trailers are designed for an extra 2k lbs to sit behind the rear wheels. So, if that's the case, than the trailer may not be over the truck's capacity by too much, and really just lacking the weight in the back to keep the tongue weight down.

We towed with a 2008 Yukon XL Denali for for several years. The hitch is integrated into the bumper and flexes like shown in the video above. It took extra washers in get enough tilt in the head to set the WD bars parallel and there was too much flex for me. We were not towing heavy, well within the tow vehicle limits. It is obvious that tongue weight is too heavy for that tow vehicle....

it remines me of a friend he had a 28 foot enclosed car hauler filled with an alinement rack and a bunch of other shop tools he move it with has 1500 he twisted he s frame i moved the trailer to new location no sweat with my 1 ton i pull a 3 axle speed boat with twin 502 s that was a little on the heavy side this might have injured someone or killed if the whole truck frame would have let it takes a 1 ton to pull a 3 axle trailer of any kind

I wonder if he started off level and once he go to where he was going (if he made it) he got out and realized he just trashed his SUV. Or worse yet if it wasn't his and now has to explain what happened to someone or his insurance company.

it takes a 1 ton to pull a 3 axle trailer of any kind

Three axle or not, the gross dry weight of that trailer is only around 6000 lbs. Even my old half-ton could tow 9000, and my current 3/4 ton can do up to 13,000.

Who cares what the towing capacity is look how short of a wheelbase it is, if the capacity was high enough I still would not tow it.
