Saftey switch, neutral, TC-35

I have a TC34DA. To get off the tractor; Throttle down put it in neutral, set the parking brake, Turn off the key. In this condition it will start when you are standing next to it, If the PTO's are in neutral. Or sitting in the seat.
It does various things if neutral is not right or the parking brake is not set, either shut down or beep .
I have gotten used to all of this except when I am using forks and cannot see the ends of the forks unless I stand up. Then I get shut down. SO I am going to jump out one set of contacts on the seat switch that does the shut down .
With a push button on the FEL control, It already has 2 switches on it. 99.99% of the time it will work as delivered.

Go to the left side of your tractor and get down on your knees. (No, not to pray to the tractor gods ;)) Look up under the left side operator's platform at the transmission case behind all the brake pedal levers -- about even with the front of the rear wheel. You can see where the range shift lever goes into the transmission. Have somebody move the range lever to help locate it. Nearby, you will see a 1" round connector with two wires on it. That is the neutral safety switch. It screws into the transmission case and a cam inside the case depresses the switch so it makes contact and allows you to start your tractor when the range is in neutral. There are no adjustments. If you have to jiggle the handle to get it to work, you will probably always have to do that.

Just seeing this Jinman, thanks so much. The issue is getting much worse since I posted this, the sweet spot is perhaps 1/8" within 2" slop of the neutral position. Based on your comment that there is no adjustment I assume my best course is too by pass the neutral sensor. I assume I can leave the sensor screwed in and just jumper the leads going to it to bypass assuming this is a normally open switch.

On mt TC-35, suddenly, when i spin the engine, it will not start. All switches seem to be OK. I've had the seat switch tie-wrapped down for years. Engine doesn't even act like it wants to start. Any suggestions?

If the engine's turning over as your post suggests then I cannot see it being a safety switch. More likely, I would think, a fuel problem. Try bleeding it.

Ck the fuse box on the inner fire wall . There should be about 4 or 5 to ck . I have had your issue before and a 15 amp fuse was blown.
This has happened to me twice in 10 years
On my Tc 30
