I think if Quality had stuck around they would have went Chinese also, they were really heavily leveraged (too much debt). If you're buying stuff that's stored outside at TSC (like implements) and dealing with the manager he can normally knock 10% off due to condition thanks to poor quality paint jobs.

They were already selling Chinese. We bought a 25 HP 4WD brand new Chinese built tractor from them just months before they marched off into the sunset.
Used that little sucker real hard for better than 5 years too.
