Sales Tax?!?

I pay 29% fed tax plus NY tax on my gross income.Then I pay 8% sales tax from ny net income on a purchased retail item.NY wants tax on any item bought out of state,gas fast food smokes,not joking. They want you to estimate the portion thas was used in state and report it.
I have purchased out of state,out of country(Canada)and saved $$ No regrets,no lost sleep.
No one should feel guilty about finding a loophole and saving$$.Run the household budget as if a buisness ,as buisness takes all advantages and loopholes to help the bottem line,

Al, I agree that you should find loopholes. It is one of my primary jobs to do that. However, you did not find a loophole, you have made the choice to break your state law (I am not passing judgement just stating the obvious fact).

I run a business, there are very few loopholes. There are lots of ways to break the law. I would not knowingly run a business the way that you advise because you are advising the intentional evasion of taxes. And my main reason is I don't want to go to jail. Tax evasion is not a thing most people really want to mess with. You choose to do it, and for you that is fine, however I would never recommend it (especially in writing on a public forum! YIKES)

What scares me is I know one woman who actually campaigned for her, and 2 who voted for her. Both live upstate. Johnstown and Gloversville.

You still will have to pay a Use tax to your home state, if they have one.
