I am interested in buying a new Salsco Chipper to run off the rear PTO of my Kioti CK35. WV dealers do not seem interested. Where is the best place to purchase? Or can I just buy factory direct?

I don't know about the "best" place to buy a Salsco in your area, but I copied the information below from the Salsco website. This might get you closer to where you need to be. I have a 627XT that I like. Hope that this info helps.

I accidentally revived this old thread, thus the edited oops. In any event we have a 627xt and it is a solid machine. Works very well.

Continuing to run with an old post. I love my Salsco chipper. Fantastic unit. If anyone is interested in them they can be bought direct if a dealer is not nearby.

I've thought of selling mine just because I have to cut the crotches up so fine.its such a dependable unit I hate too I'd like to find a 6 or 8 that the bx will lift if I can get it turning id be good, I'm looking into modifying my hopper to expose a couple more inches of the head to solve the issue thus instead of 4 by 4 it would be say 6 by 4

I'm thinking a 6" would be way too much for a BX. Our 627XT is a 6" machine and it's good size and heavy, weighing in at 1300lbs. They claim minimum 25hp at the PTO, I'm running 50hp to it at the PTO

with about 16hp at the pto you are unlikely to have the power to run a 6 inch very well. If you kept it super sharp and feed it carefully you might be okay, but I wouldnt count on it.

I didn't buy a 6 inch but I bought a salsco 4 inch with hydraulic feed Saturday I had some explaining to do when I came home with a 6000 dollar chipper in my truck ! My 600 I put in uncle Henry's for sale the bx spins it fine but it's right at the weight capacity for the bx it weighs in at900 pounds I can lift it haul it but I gotta go easy
