I checked out where I think the are moving through the most this afternoon. It's a slight rise just above god creek. I Can sit there send wait and have a reasonable Field of view through the open forest. I found several rub trees and fresh droppings so I am confident that they are using this area to move through. I agree, I cannot seem to move through the scrub without noise so sit and switch is the best. I'm getting the rifle out tomorrow and will try over the next few weeks and sit up and see how things are go! I'm hoping that I get to pits a pic.I still think you would be better off waiting for them to come to you. Deer stalking even in fairly open country with cover for the stalker (eg Scotland) is a very skilled art to learn. You cannot avoid making noise if you go looking for them. You can settle yourself down to a comforable position if you are just waiting. Pick yourself three or four spots where you can cover most of your 3 acres.... and I would go through the channels with the GMA paperwork. You might well have do-gooders about that will shop you if you do not have the paperwork.
