The new (blue) seal was an absolute bastard to get in. I ended up having to grease it to get it into position after much cursing!

I cleaned up the corrosion on the end cap with the wire wheel on my bench grinder.

The mosquitoes drove me out of my workshop and into the house this evening.
Re-assembling tomorrow!

Mission accomplished!
I was surprised at how simple the ram is internally.
The hardest part of this job was the tight fit of the seals making them hard to fit in place.
I had to do a bit of improvisation here and there, but we got there in the end. ;-)

I had idea to install second (right) one too, as never Same’s have.

My tractors only have one steering cylinder, and I have not repaired the one that's leaking, yet...

My SAME Argon 50 has only one steering ram, on the left side.
