Any idea who makes it? Is it as good or better than The Warren automotive that I seem to find most everywhere (Coastal,Mystic,Carquest,Advance Auto and TSC)?

I use TSC UTF in my 2008 Mahindra 5525. As long as the stuff meets the JD303 spec, it's OK to use in the 5525 per my dealer. I've heard that larger tractors like my 5525 aren't as picky about UTF as smaller CUTs and SCUTs.

I heard that...

pep boys now and then has the 'do it yoursdelf' oil change specials like 5qts oil and a cheap oil filter for 9.99 and if you get a cheapy air filter it's 2$ ( fram, stp brands ). I usually go for it because the oil they usually sell with it is the valvoline white bottle... I grab the oil filters for my tractor or the oil and air for my old dodge truck..

I am like you guys.

Right now I have the oil and filters on hand to do 3 oil changes on my tractor, 3 on my Nissan Titan, 2 on each of my Powertroke Fords, 2 on my Saturn, 1 on each of my boats, and one for my little Craftsman Mower.

I also have 2 extra air filters, 2 hydro filters, and 2 fuel filters for the tractor. All the vehicles run a K&N type air filter except for the Saturn and I have a extra Fram for it. I also have a extra spark plug for everything I own.

Along with that I have 2 5 gallon pales of 80W90 gear oil with a pump, and a 5 gallon pale of AW32 hydo oil along with other fluids like ATF, anti freeze, and power steering fluid.

I live 25 minutes from the parts store so I keep stocked up when it goes on sale. As for the spark plugs I got bit two weekends in a row with a chain saw and then a mower so I made a list the second time and now keep them for all the stuff like mowers, generators, saws, trimmers, ect. Only cost about $10 so its been a time saver and a sanity keeper. If I use it I just pick up another the next day.

This is only my experience...some time back I changed the hydraulic fluid in my TC-29D and used the Sams Club Hyd. fluid and my FEL would screech every time I raised the bucket, that told me their was a restriction of some kind so as much as I hated to I changed the fluid again..I emptied the fluid from Sams and filled it with the Tractor Supply hydraulic fluid and no problems since. I did not buy the New Holland fluid since my tractor is out of warranty and it is way to expensive..

We all know this is the only way to deal with farm equipment. Buying stuff in advance gives you the advantage of pricing choice. I also keep a few spare parts and difficult to obtain items on hand and that also has paid off over the years.

Also.. when I change out plugs, I keep any that don't look horrible and then clean them with an abrasive blast cleaner made for spark plugs, then get them clean of the abrasive, and otherwise ready to go, then toss them in a ziplock for emergenciy spares. usually out of 4 plugs.. I can find 2 that are good enough for spares..

since warren bottles alot of walmart oil.. and the obvious connection between walmart and sams.. I wouldn't be surprised if it wsn't warren oil.

I second that Warren is probably the supplier. Warren is the supplier to far more brand names than many realize. I have had great experience with a local brand in Iowa, Allied Oil and Supply, that has various oils and lubes blended to their specs by Warren out of the Council Bluffs operation. I use the products throughout in my Semi, personal vehicles, and equipment. I have seen various Warren distribution points up close when I have delivered to them and they have pretty good standards. I am able to get a CJ-4 HDEO oil that is a 40% synthetic blend from Allied for about $9 a gallon and have a barrel delivered to my home for the whopping fee of $5. I have gotten excellent UOA reports on the stuff and, hard to understand, but better wear numbers than when I was using Amsoil and Schaeffer. That speaks for itself.
