Samsung LCD TV

Larry,
Check your cable connections all the way to junction box on the outside of your house, I had the same problem and it turned out to be a bad connector on a cable.

Maybe I shouldn't post this cause it sounds like you want a new TV:D :D - new toys are good

I've checked all the connections and each is very tight,., This has been going on for almost a year, little by little, the channels are losing sound. In any case, can someone tell me which is better to have, a DLP or LCD. Is ther that much difference, I see on the net that most LCD are not cable digital compatible, Not sure if this is important or not, We have Cox digital cable,, thus the question.

If you have a Tweeter's nearby I'd go there. They are usually very well trained and knowledgeable on the product they sell and are willing to help.

If I was buying today I'd look at one of the wall mount LCD's that accept a 1080p input at both 24 and 30 frames/sec. (film is recorded at 24 and TV at 30) this will kep the set from being obsolete for a couple of years, since the new formats (Blu-Ray & HD-DVD) and players are starting to output these signals. Unless I'm mistaken any of the newer mid-range and higher sets should accept a cable digital signal and decode it. (As a general rule if the set has an over the air tuner for HD broadcast signals it should accept the cable).

Personally I like the wall mount LCD - 60,000+ hours on screen and wioth the newest technology no motion atifacts.
