sand spreader for compost?

I have been thinking about getting a compost spreader. I did see a few sand spreaders on the Herd website. Would these be a good alternative? I would think if they could spread sand compost would be fine but I am not sure.

Those are made for fine grained DRY material only

You need a "manure spreader" that can handle randomly sized material
