Sanity check from you cord cutters

Before you commit to Ubifi, look into OTRMobile. I'm in my second month with them and so far so good. $60./mo. unlimited, no caps, no throttling.

There's no committment with Ubifi or OTR Mobile. What I saw with another thread is to go to at&t website and for the MoFi you can get a $360/yr unlimited data plan. I'll have to look at the reviews and features of the Nighthawk versus the MoFi. I'm assuming the antenna on the MoFi would be better for me.

Well, there's a commitment for a month. :) I think the MoFi is a better unit than the Nighthawk, so I bought one and signed up with OTRMobile - with them you have that option.

Actually, with Ubifi the first 30 days are free. Good to hear that you can use the MoFi with OTR Mobile. Why not just pay $360/yr and not $60/month? Are these systems bad enough that you need the support? If so, I'd certainly have to wait till things got better. I don't have time to be on tech support calls every few months.

Is the first 30 days with Ubify free, or is it a free 30 day trial? OTR does have a 14 day free trial.
I guess I missed something - what's the $360/yr. you speak of, and the need for support?

Here is my Channel Master antenna mounted to the side of the chimney. I just had the cable on temporary and no ground when I snapped the pic. This is the back side of the house so it is not seen when people drive up, which is good. The antenna is 180 degree as are the stations from me and it picks them up well. I do notice from time to time some stations (oddly the stronger ones) drop out on a weak signal, then some time later they are back. So I will install the preamp if it ever gets here.

Anyone put cameras on ROKU? I saw IP Camera Viewer for ROKU on a google search.

Sorry, what's the difference between 30 days free vs. free 30 day trial? The "free" though comes with a 15% restocking fee on the MofI, if you choose to return it. The $360/yr is something that one person noted when they entered the IMEI of the MoFi into buyasession.att.com. It was posted in one of the prior cable cutting threads.

The difference is that it's only "free" if you try it and opt out. If you continue with the service, you pay for the month.

I would be interested if you went to the at&t sight and put in your IMEI of your Mofi. Do you get an option of $360/yr?
