Come on, I didn't say the Moose plow was the best one, just said I purchased it. If I recall, when I set mine up the springs were very difficult to extend so I could get the ends into the mounting holes, and I called them to be sure I had the right springs, they said yes. So I came up with the idea of using small metal plates (washers would work also) to wedge the spring coils apart and extend the springs. Not too sure if I had them in the proper holes either, but it's worked fine for the last three years. Another thing, I put a rubber bushing on both sides to prevent metal-to metal contact when the blade extends the springs and snaps back.

Smart of you to install a speed limiter as those machines can go fast enough to cause a lot of damage. I'm going to order another rubber top flap (standard with the county plow) to use for soft lower blade edge.
