My LN-25 came with a Magnum 400 gun. It has some weld splatter marks on the top of the case, but otherwise it looks pretty good under the lid. The gun is said to have a new liner. I paid $850 for the suitcase with gun, which seemed like a fair deal. I've seen the suitcases alone selling for more than that. I'm under the impression this can be used for both GMAW and FCAW-G or S. I'll take the suitcase and gun to my local Praxair shop to make sure all the parts are there and functioning. I'm pretty sure the gun needs a new tip, (I need spares anyway) but everything else is in great shape.

I've never had good luck running self shielded flux core wire in a regular Mig gun. Now if the Mig gun has a 1/16-inch liner in it. You may get away with running .045-inch self shielded wire in it. But keep the gun as straight as possible. Problem is, once the wire gets hot, it will generally freeze up in the regular Mig gun!

Thanks. Sorry no plans. Just made it with 8" channel fork pockets so that it could be fork lifted "end wise" into the back of my pickup.
The fork pockets sit at right angles on 4x4's so that it can be moved (cross wise) easily in my garage or shop with a pallet jack.
The "D"rings on each side of the skid are for tie down only. NOT lifting.

Thanks, Tom. It probably doesn't even QUALIFY to be called a welding "skid" (no tool boxes, bottle racks etc) but I'm NOT a weldor, so I kept it simple. This is what worked for me.

It would be fun to design/ build a REAL one though....
