Very nice 4720! I am very impressed with the 4720's and I am looking into having one for my future upgrade. It would be the ideal tractor for my needs.Very dependable machines with plenty of power. That will be a real snowmover! Is it brand new or used ? It looks to be in very nice shape.

Congrats to you!

if you purchased your 4720 new and just took delivery, I'd be interested in how long you waited. I have one on order.

I did purchase it new, but I have a great relationship with my dealer. I traded in my old 4720 and took delivery of my 2011 4720 from dealer stock. They ordered a few as soon as they could. I guess there is a huge backlog on these. I was lucky I guess.

From the time I decided to get it, it took about three weeks to get it delivered with all the options on it that I wanted. The plow and chipper actually took longer to come in.

Okay thanks. that's about the info I'm working on 3-4 weeks and attachments - some sonner some later.

Interesting information on delivery times. My 3720 was ordered October 20th and the latest information is delivery to the dealer January 24th. All my attachments (FEL, Snowblower, Front Blade, Rear Blade) are at the dealer. Santa is late this year here in snowy northern Minnesota! Must be a "weather delay"!

Hey Tonka awesome setup! I am in the market for a snowplow for my 4720 and was looking at the JD AF11 or AF12 series but never heard of Horst? How much was the plow setup and how does it compare?

I looked at the Frontier ones too. The Horst was recommended by the dealer over the Frontier, why I can't exactly remember. The 3000 HLA (model SB300007) is built like the Bismarck. It's 84 inches and is very heavy duty. It cost $3800 and has hydraulic angle control that I run from the Fasse RCS joystick. It moves snow like a professional plow. At speed, it throws the snow to the side and with ease. The skid shoes are AR400 discs that just glide across the pavement and gravel. The only thing you might want is some rear ballast. I have loaded tires and haven't had any problems but when the blade is angled to the max the front end of the tractor can get pushed either left or right when you have the blade angled down to scrape. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for the quick reply....I am going to ask my dealer about the Horst vs. the Frontier. I think the Frontier plow is like $2200 which is about what I want to spend. I have a plow on my UTV, but when I get snow drifts my driveway is too hard for it so I figured a snow plow on my 4720 would be nice. Not to mention a cab and heat..:D...

I never took my bucket off, but looks super easy to change to the plow right? I also have loaded tires and a ballast box filled with cement...Just missing the plow....

I can take the plow off and put the 4in1 bucket on in less than 2 minutes...Pull two pins, lift the loader, tilt the blade down and put it on the ground. Just make sure you undo the angle hydraulic lines first! Also make sure you secure the pins in the holders before you try to pick up the other loader implement. They can get caught and crushed. Good luck!
