I don't know if this will be much help, but my copy of the service manual for my old Satoh 650G indicates Turbine oil No 120(Capacity 0.92 gal - 3.5 lit this is for the hydraulic system.
For the engine I use the same oil as my autos.

If I am not mistaken his tractor is a 4 cylinder gas burner. 650 G and the G is for Gasoline.

Thank you for the correction, I didn't realize that satoh had a gas machine. I remember the beaver, bull and bison, just assumed that they were diesel.

Yes this is a gas tractor so use a good 10w30, 10w40 engine oil, whatever brand you prefer. Your transmission and hydraulics are separate so use any one of these - JD type 303, Universal tractor fluid, Aw46 tractor hydraulic oil or the equivalent in your hydraulic reservoir under the seat. Check the level on the left side thru the sight guage on the older models or the level plug on the later models. Your transmission uses 80w90 gear oil and the level plug is on left side by your foot when it iis not on the clutch. I sell parts and manuals for your tractor that will help you with all of this. The illustrations are very clear and the quality is excellent. Call 800-609-5110 Bill Rodgers
