I love places like that.

Theirs a lumber yard (HILL LUMBER) not to far from me that beats the pants off HD and Lowes on prices dealing with lumber. They turn over so much lumber its always (fresh) and very seldom come across bad stuff. If you do keep it covered and they will take it back no questions asked. Some of there #3 lumber is better then the other guys premiun cut lumber. I use them as much as possible.

The nice thing with these guys is they remember you and always ask how the projects going.

I tend to buy most everything locally, but check the internet for unusual items which need to be special ordered by local store. Just purchased a shuffleboard table via internet and delivered to my door. The local store wanted almost 2X the internet price plus tax. To be fair, their price did also include setup but would have cost over $3000 more. Those kind of differences definitely send me to the internet.
